Lucknow, Aug 2026 : The 84th edition of the monthly storytelling series Dadi Nani Ki Kahani – Jeetesh Ki Zubani, organised by the Lok Sanskriti Shodh Sansthan, was held on Monday at Basic School Kamalabad Badhauli in BKT, Lucknow. Storyteller Jeetesh Srivastava conveyed an important message to children through the story Darzi Ki Seekh, encouraging them to build relationships rather than break them and to adopt a positive outlook towards life.
The programme began with an entertaining game that helped engage the children. Through the story, the children were taught an important lesson using the example of a tailor who keeps his scissors below and his needle above. The story explained that those who break relationships are placed below, while those who bring people together always hold a higher place.
The children enthusiastically understood and embraced the message of the story. Archana Gupta recited a poem for the children, who then repeated it together. Senior singer Asha Srivastava also led the children in a collective rendition of inspiring lines, adding a musical and interactive element to the programme.
The event was attended by Lok Sanskriti Shodh Sansthan Secretary Sudha Dwivedi, Folk Tales In-charge Shambhu Sharan Verma, social worker Avnish Kumar Singh, school in-charge and headmistress Kiran Trivedi, Anjula Chaudhary, Ekta Srivastava, Dinesh Yadav, Usha Tiwari and others.
The storytelling session aimed to use traditional folk narratives as a means of imparting values and life lessons to children while keeping them connected with India's rich oral storytelling tradition.
