Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan–Tiranga Yatra at Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal. He formally announced the commencement of the Tiranga Yatra at TT Nagar Stadium and flagged it off.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav hoisted the Tricolour at the Chief Minister’s Residence and departed with the national flag to launch the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. The
entire staff of the Chief Minister’s Residence, carrying the Tricolour in their hands and raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, walked to Samatva Bhawan under his leadership.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav then left the residence on a motorcycle for Tatya Tope Stadium. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, senior MLA and Chairman Shri Hemant Khandelwal, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, MP Shri Alok Sharma, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai and other public representatives were present at the programme held at the stadium.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Welcomed with Flower Shower
The Tiranga Yatra commenced from TT Nagar Stadium under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. A large number of schoolchildren, NCC cadets, members of voluntary organisations, senior citizens, traders from New Market and Mata Mandir areas, and local residents participated in the yatra.
Led by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Tiranga Yatra proceeded from the stadium via Maharana Pratap Lok, Tin Shed and Sandipani Vidyalaya, TT Nagar. From there, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav rode a motorcycle carrying the Tricolour and proceeded towards the Chief Minister’s Residence via New Market, Roshanpura and Polytechnic Square. At various locations along the route, the New Market Vyapar Sanrakshan Samiti and other organisations welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with flower showers amid patriotic musical performances by bands.
Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan to Continue Across State till August 14
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, speaking to the media on the occasion, that the Quit India Movement had begun on this very day in 1942. He said the decisive struggle
launched against British rule at the call of Mahatma Gandhi shook the foundations of colonial rule and made the world witness India’s deep yearning for freedom. The Chief Minister said that the sacrifices and struggles of revolutionaries for the country’s independence, along with the non-violent movement, created a powerful wave of nationalism across the country. As a result, the British were compelled to grant India independence within five years, even before the announced date. India attained freedom through the contributions of all freedom fighters.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan provides an opportunity to remember the struggle and sacrifices of all freedom fighters. The campaign will commence today, August 9, and continue till August 14. Tiranga Yatras and various activities will be organised across villages, wards, towns and the state capital. He also appealed to the people of Madhya Pradesh to hoist the Tricolour at their homes.
Under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s Leadership, World Witnessing India’s Strength
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the world is witnessing India’s growing strength in a rapidly changing global environment. He said the Prime Minister is moving forward with a firm commitment to the welfare of all sections of society.The Chief Minister expressed the hope that by the time India reaches Amrit Kaal@2047, the country would emerge as a leading nation with its full strength, guided by the ideals of ‘Live and Let Live’ and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the people should celebrate the joy of freedom while fulfilling their responsibilities, with a commitment to the welfare of all sections of society and the well-being of every citizen, and pray that India’s freedom remains eternal. He appealed to children, youth, senior citizens, women and people from all sections of society to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and Tiranga Yatra with enthusiasm and fervour. The Chief Minister also urged citizens to remain committed to safeguarding the nation and continue serving the country.
Growing Air Connectivity Opening New Avenues of Development in State
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that expanding air connectivity is opening a new dimension of development in Madhya Pradesh. The state capital Bhopal is now gaining air connectivity with two major cities —Kolkata and Patna. One flight will connect Bhopal to Kolkata via Rewa, while another will provide a direct connection between Bhopal and Patna.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that around 10 more new airports would be developed in the state in the future, and the state government is working with full commitment in this direction.
