Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a Ramleela programme in Nagla Tarai on Monday and urged people to imbibe the life and ideals of Lord Shri Ram.

Addressing the gathering, Dhami said the life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram inspires people to remain united and follow the path of righteousness and morality.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to preserving Uttarakhand’s cultural and religious heritage. He said that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reconstruction work in Kedarnath and the renovation of temples in the Kedarkhand and Manaskhand regions were progressing rapidly.

He added that the government was taking strict action against illegal encroachments and people allegedly operating under false identities to protect the sanctity and cultural identity of the state.

Dhami said several historic initiatives had been undertaken under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership over the past 12 years. These included the construction of permanent houses for poor families and the provision of tap water and gas connections to households.

He said healthcare worth up to ₹5 lakh was being provided free of cost to poor families. Women were being supported through initiatives such as the Lakhpati Didi and Drone Didi schemes, while skill development programmes were being prioritised to create opportunities for young people.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the provision of Kisan Samman Nidhi to support farmers, the introduction of modern facilities for soldiers, and decisive actions such as surgical and air strikes. He said the One Rank, One Pension scheme had also been implemented for ex-servicemen.

District Panchayat Chairperson Ajay Maurya, Municipal Chairperson Ramesh Chandra Joshi, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadouria, SSP Ajay Ganpati, village head Deepu Mehra and office-bearers of the Ramleela Committee were present at the event.
