NEW DELHI, Aug 2026 : The tragic death of a Class 8 student in Dallupura on Friday exposed the shocking state of Delhi’s public services and administration. A government-run DTC (Delhi Transport Cooperation) bus crushed a Class 8 student, killing her on the spot, while an ambulance called to take her body arrived only after two-and-a-quarter hours. Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar, who reached the spot after learning about the accident, met the grieving family and offered his condolences.
On Friday, AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar said, “The tragic death of the Class 8 student after being crushed by a DTC bus has left everyone shaken. Seeing the grief of the family is deeply distressing. The most unfortunate and insensitive aspect is that the girl’s body remained at the spot for around two-and-a-quarter hours even after the accident. There was not even an ambulance available at the scene.”
Kuldeep Kumar asserted that the incident raised serious questions about Delhi’s poor administration and the negligence of the DTC. “The BJP’s Rekha Gupta government will have to answer how long the people of Delhi will continue to pay for such negligence with their lives,” he said.
He continued, “There must be an impartial investigation into the entire incident and strict action against everyone responsible. The victim’s family must receive every possible assistance and justice.” Kuldeep Kumar emphasised that the AAP stands with the grieving family in their hour of sorrow.
