Raipur, September 2026 : The spirit of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being undertaken to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life, is reaching every section of society through public participation and service. A meaningful initiative under the campaign, the Aangan Milan Utsav, is now making its presence felt at Anganwadi centres in villages. Various programmes associated with the Prime Minister’s 25 years of service in public life have also been highlighted at the official level.
The Aangan Milan Utsav is not merely an event but a celebration of society’s collective responsibility towards ensuring a healthy present and a bright future for children. At village Anganwadi centres, beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are honoured, along with the women, Mitanins and Anganwadi workers who play an important role in helping children overcome malnutrition. This connects the initiative with a strong spirit of service and respect.
The participation of senior citizens and public representatives from villages adds a personal touch to the event. Providing children and women with useful tips on nutrition and healthy living through these elders and representatives is like connecting the experience of the older generation with the future of the younger generation.
The SuPoshan Rangoli, created using grains of food, is not merely an expression of art. It conveys the message that nutritious food available in our homes and fields forms the strong foundation of a healthy life. Cultural programmes presented by children also help convey the message of proper nutrition to people in a simple and effective manner.
As part of the celebrations, the Annaprashan ceremony symbolises the beginning of a new phase of nutrition in a newborn’s life, while the God Bharai ceremony promotes a sense of social responsibility towards motherhood, maternal health and the care of the coming generation.
In reality, proper nutrition is not merely about having enough food. It is a broader commitment linked to the health of mothers, the nutrition of children, awareness within families and the participation of society. When Anganwadi workers, Mitanins, women members of self-help groups, public representatives, senior citizens and rural communities come together to address the nutritional needs of children, the spirit of service becomes visible on the ground.
The foundation of a developed society tomorrow is laid through the healthy bodies and minds of today’s children. Therefore, creating awareness against malnutrition, ensuring maternal and child healthcare and promoting healthy nutritional habits are among the greatest investments that can be made for the next generation.
This is the true picture of Seva Sankalp — where there is respect, participation and a collective resolve to secure a healthy future for the coming generation.
