Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari Gives Digital Marketing Mantra to Women Entrepreneurs at Amrita Haat

‘Digital Knowledge Will Pave the Way for Economic Growth’

Jaipur, October 2026: A special digital marketing training programme was organised on Saturday at the Rangayan Auditorium of Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur for women entrepreneurs associated with self-help groups participating in the state-level Amrita Haat.

The programme was organised by the Directorate of Women Empowerment under the Department of Women and Child Development.

Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Diya Kumari attended the programme as the chief guest. She encouraged the women to adopt digital technology to expand their businesses and become self-reliant.

Financial and Digital Literacy Are Essential

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said that financial literacy was essential for women engaged in business. In today’s world, merely producing goods was not enough; reaching the right market was equally important.

She said that during her visit to the state-level Amrita Haat on an earlier occasion, she had learnt that women belonging to self-help groups were selling very few of their products online. Keeping this in mind, the Directorate of Women Empowerment had organised the digital marketing workshop.

She added that financial literacy would make it easier for women associated with self-help groups to undertake online and digital marketing and expand their businesses.

‘Vocal for Local, Local for Global’

Appreciating the women entrepreneurs, Diya Kumari said that women were no longer merely seeking employment but were also providing jobs to other women. This, she said, was one of the strongest examples of women’s empowerment.

She urged the entrepreneurs to follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of “Vocal for Local, Local for Global” so that demand for their products could increase across the world and their businesses could grow.

She said that this approach could help women entrepreneurs gain access to global markets.

“Rajasthan’s art, handicrafts and the products made by you are unique and excellent. The need is to take them to the world through digital platforms,” she said.

Digital Marketing Training to Be Held at Every Exhibition

Making an important announcement, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Department of Women and Child Development would ensure that digital marketing and financial literacy training workshops were organised at all state-level and district-level exhibitions conducted by the department.

She said the initiative would help women understand the potential of digital markets, increase sales of their products and become economically self-reliant.

She also appealed to government and private institutions, banks and e-commerce companies to encourage these women entrepreneurs and support them in expanding their businesses.

Training in Social Media, Online Branding and Payments

During the training session, experts provided detailed information on using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business.

The participants were also trained in online product branding, creating attractive photographs and videos, digital promotion, online payments, packaging and methods of reaching customers through online platforms.

The initiative aims to digitally empower women and promote their economic empowerment, self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The special digital marketing training programme conveyed the message: “Digital Knowledge, Economic Growth—Empowered Women, Prosperous Rajasthan.”
