Six-year-old Mehak and Ananya carried 11 litres of holy water from Haridwar to Meerut

Meerut, Aug 2026 : Their shoulders are tiny, but their courage is no less than that of any grown-up Kanwariya. Just six years old, their resolve was for the long life of their mother and father. With this resolve, six-year-old sisters Mehak and Ananya from Meerut had been walking on foot for a week, carrying a Kanwar containing 11 litres of holy water from Haridwar. When the two sisters reached Meerut with their Kanwar on Monday, everyone who saw them along the way could not help but salute their faith and courage. On Tuesday, they performed Jalabhishek for the long life of their mother and father.
Mehak and Ananya said that they had prayed to Baba Bholenath for the long life, good health and happiness and prosperity of their mother and father.
With this wish in their hearts, the two sisters picked up the Kanwar from Haridwar. The Kanwar was heavy on their tiny shoulders, but their faces showed more enthusiasm than fatigue. The Kanwar Yatra of the young sisters became not only a story of faith, but also an example of their selfless love for their parents.
The journey of the two sisters, which began from Haridwar a week ago, reached Meerut on Monday. At several places, people saw the two sisters, encouraged them and blessed them. Mehak and Ananya also continued to move forward with full enthusiasm, raising slogans of "Bol Bam".
While offering the holy water brought in the Kanwar on the Shivling, their biggest prayer was that their mother and father always remain healthy and live a long life.
