Master Plan will Prove to be Milestone in Making Bhopal Developed and Green : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that 21 years ago, government bus service was started in the form of Sugam Bus. Now, after 21 years, the draft of Bhopal's Master Plan has been released. This Master Plan will prove to be a milestone in making Bhopal developed and green by 2047. CM Dr. Yadav has appealed to citizens to submit their claims, objections and suggestions on draft of the Master Plan. CM Dr. Yadav was addressing ministers before the Cabinet meeting at Mantralaya.

CM Dr. Yadav said that on occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Anant Chaturdashi, government buses have once again started running on roads across the state, reaching cities and villages as part of the Sugam Transport Service. Sugam Transport will provide e-buses operating within cities, buses operating within districts, buses connecting one district with another, and bus services travelling to other states for people of the state. CM Dr. Yadav said that bus service for religious tourism has been started in Ujjain.

CM Dr. Yadav congratulated people on the inclusion of Bagh Cave paintings, Ginnorgarh Fort, group of temples in Chambal Valley and Udayagiri Caves in UNESCO's Tentative List. He said that out of India's total 78 tentative heritage sites, 19 being in Madhya Pradesh is a matter of great pride. This has given new global recognition to Madhya Pradesh's rich historical and cultural heritage.

CM Dr. Yadav said that under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026, launched in connection with birth anniversary of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, about 3 crore 88 lakh lamps were lit across Madhya Pradesh under the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme. More than 650 blood donation camps were organised in the state, in which about 11,000 units of blood were collected. More than 40 lakh students from over 87,000 schools and colleges participated in speech and painting competitions. Aangan Milan programmes have so far been organised in more than 43,000 Anganwadi centres, in which over 17 lakh mothers and children have participated. Under the Namo-Seva programme, about 484 street performance groups have given more than 3,000 performances. Under the Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra, 725 meetings have so far been organised in 1,000 villages and 190 urban areas. Under the Seva Mera Yogdan programme, more than 9 lakh citizens and over 10,000 organisations participated in 25 service activities. Under the Seva Ki Kahani programme, more than 5 lakh inspiring stories and messages of gratitude have been recorded. CM Dr. Yadav said that maximum public participation should be ensured in the Seva Jyoti Kalash programme to be organised on October 7.

CM Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi had launched the country's first hydrogen train between Jind and Sonipat. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah flagged off the country's first train powered by Liquid Natural Gas from Sabarmati in Gujarat to Mehsana. This train can run on both LNG and diesel. On one hand, this will reduce fuel costs, while on the other, it will also reduce pollution.

CM Dr. Yadav congratulated medal-winning players at the Asian Games-2026. Both the women's and men's kabaddi teams won gold medals. The women's cricket team won the gold medal. Ms. Kranti Gaud represented Madhya Pradesh in this sport. In shooting, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar of Khargone and Ashi Chouksey of Bhopal won silver medals for India. Shri Jai Meena of Dewas won a bronze medal in soft tennis at the Asian Games. CM Dr. Yadav congratulated and extended best wishes to Ms. Neeru Dhanda, who created history by winning the first gold medal in women's trap shooting event.

CM Dr. Yadav said that more than 900 compassionate appointment orders have been issued in the School Education Department. These include more than 600 clerical posts and over 200 peon posts. Through this campaign, families of teachers who died while in service and had been waiting for years for compassionate appointments will benefit. CM Dr. Yadav appreciated the School Education Department for this sensitive initiative. CM Dr. Yadav directed all other departments to take similar action.

CM Dr. Yadav paid tribute to noted Hindi film actor and comedian Shri Mushtaq Khan on his death. CM Dr. Yadav said that he spent his childhood and received his education in Baihar and Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh. Coming from a small place, he established a distinct identity in the world of acting through his talent. He worked in around 500 films.
