Directs Officials to Ensure Effective Implementation, Quality and Timely Completion of Government Schemes
Raipur, Sept 2026: Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Laxmi Rajwade on Thursday reviewed the progress of various government schemes and development works in Odgi block of Surajpur district.
Rajwade participated in a block-level departmental review meeting held at the Janpad Panchayat meeting hall in Odgi. She reviewed the progress of various schemes and development projects being implemented in the area and sought department-wise details from officials.
The minister directed officials to give priority to works related to public welfare and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries within the stipulated timeframe.
Rajwade said ensuring that government schemes reach the last person in society remains among the government's highest priorities. She instructed officials to regularly monitor schemes and development works at the grassroots level, ensure quality in construction projects and resolve issues faced by the public with sensitivity and on priority.
She emphasised the need for all departments to work in coordination to accelerate development in rural areas and expand public amenities. Officials, she said, must work with full responsibility and sensitivity to ensure that every eligible person receives the benefits of government schemes and that development projects deliver tangible benefits to the people.
During the review meeting, officials presented detailed updates on various development works underway in the area, the implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes and the status of departmental programmes. The minister reviewed the progress of these initiatives and directed officials to accelerate pending works and complete projects related to public welfare on priority.
Rajwade stressed that effective implementation of government schemes requires regular field-level monitoring and coordination among departments. She also called upon officials to maintain quality standards in development and construction works and ensure that projects are completed within the prescribed timelines.
The minister said that resolving public grievances should remain a key priority for the administration. Officials were directed to remain responsive to people's concerns and take prompt action on issues affecting residents.
The meeting focused on assessing the implementation of government programmes and identifying areas where greater attention was required. Rajwade instructed officials to ensure that administrative efforts translate into direct benefits for people in rural areas.
Janpad Panchayat president Indramani Paikra, local public representatives and officials from the concerned departments were present at the meeting.
