Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is undertaking various activities for farmers’ welfare in coordination with 16 departments as part of ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’. He urged farmers to pursue agriculture with dedication and hard work, adding that arrangements are being made to provide 10 hours of daytime power supply for farming from the next season. The Chief Minister said that the government’s objective is not only to double farm income but also to create additional income opportunities for farmers through fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy production. The state has set a target of increasing milk production under the Sanchi brand from 12% to 20%.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the Balram Krishi Mahotsav organised in Rajgarh from the Chief Minister’s Residence in Bhopal. Minister for Skill Development and Employment Shri Gautam Tetwal and other public representatives were present at the programme in Rajgarh.
Rajgarh Emerging as Industrial Hub
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the state government has undertaken several development projects in Rajgarh. With the expansion of highways, Rajgarh is now also emerging as an industrial hub. The Mohanpura-Kundaliya Dam has expanded irrigation facilities in the district, while the upcoming Chambal-Kalisindh-Parvati Link Project will bring further benefits to the region. He said that expanding irrigation facilities and creating new opportunities in agriculture would also help transform Rajgarh district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said 10.4 million metric tonnes of wheat had been procured from wheat-producing farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The state government has expanded irrigation facilities to 6.5 million hectares across Madhya Pradesh. He said farmers had been provided the benefit of Bhavantar payment support for soybean, while funds under the Kisan Samman Nidhi are being transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts. Funds are also being provided to women beneficiaries under the Ladli Behna Scheme. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi deserves appreciation for these welfare initiatives, he added.
Kavach Scheme Eases Concerns of Thousands of Farmers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, referring to the Kavach Scheme, that it enables farmers to obtain bank loans and crop loans again. The scheme has eased farmers’ concerns and is helping them reconnect with the formal banking system.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised the need to ensure that information about farmer welfare schemes and programmes reaches every eligible beneficiary. He encouraged farmers to avail themselves of the facilities being provided for their guidance under the Balram Krishi Mahotsav. The Chief Minister said that funds under the Ladli Behna Scheme would soon be released into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries. He also said Tiranga Yatras are being organised across the state as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. He encouraged people to organise Tiranga Yatras at village, ward, Janpad and district levels.
Strict Action against Non-Performers; Good Work to Be Encouraged
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that large-scale police recruitment has been undertaken across all districts, while arrangements are underway to establish police bands in every district. He said the state government is recruiting for around 80,000 posts, including approximately 10,000 teacher positions. The promotion process for officers and employees is also continuing regularly.
Officers and employees have been directed to visit the field every Friday and work among the people under the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. No meetings will be held on Fridays. Strict action will be taken against those found negligent or failing to perform their duties, while those delivering good work will be encouraged by the government.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has been implemented in the state. He also appealed to people to share the joy of festivals with the poor and deprived sections of society.
