Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal, is among the holiest cities. The city has retained its splendour, glory and fame through the ages. Ujjain enjoys the special blessings of Baba Mahakal. While the time of birth and death is destined for every living being, Baba Mahakal determines the course of time for each one. Ujjain, the city of time and pride, is steadily moving towards reclaiming its glorious stature. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed devotees from the broadcast room after the fifth Sawaari of Lord Mahakaleshwar reached Ram Ghat from the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.
CM Reaches Ram Ghat by Boat from Datta Akhara
The fifth Sawaari of Lord Mahakaleshwar set out from the Mahakaleshwar Temple on Monday at the scheduled time amid great enthusiasm and devotion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered traditional prayers to Lord Chandramouleshwar, who was seated in the Palaki on the arrival of the Sawaari at Ram Ghat. Priest Pt. Ashish Sharma performed the Jalabhishek of Chandramouleshwar with the sacred waters of the Shipra River. A shower of flower petals was also carried out from a helicopter as the Sawaari reached Ram Ghat.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached the ghat by boat from the Datta Akhara side as the Sawaari arrived at Ram Ghat. District in- Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel, Ujjain North MLA Shri Anil Jain Kalu Kheda, Badnagar MLA Shri Jitendra Uday Singh Pandya, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Shri Ravi Solanki, Shri Sanjay Agrawal, other public representatives and senior administrative officers were present on the occasion.
Simhastha 2028 to Be Made Grand and Divine with Full Public Support
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that several development works are underway in Ujjain. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, people from all sections of society have voluntarily demolished their own houses to support development works. People have also voluntarily cooperated in relocating even temples, mosques and gurdwaras. He said the voluntary support extended by citizens is an outstanding example not only for India but for the entire world. The Madhya Pradesh Government is committed to organising a grand and divine Simhastha 2028. Development and public welfare works are being accelerated across the state. The city of Emperor Vikramaditya is once again moving towards excellence. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav prayed to Baba Mahakal for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the State.
Millions of Devotees Join the Live Broadcast
The fifth Sawaari of Baba Mahakal was telecast live, enabling millions of devotees to witness the sacred procession. Devotees from several countries also benefited from the special live-broadcast arrangements. Residents living along the Sawaari route in Ujjain, as well as devotees from different parts of the state, witnessed the procession. Children, youth, women and senior citizens were among the devotees. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, joy and deep devotion.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s stature and respect are rising both nationally and globally. The Chief Minister noted that no other Prime Minister or President has received honours from so many countries. Prime Minister Shri Modi was recently conferred Uzbekistan’s highest civilian honour. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, this is the 36th international honour bestowed upon Prime Minister Shri Modi.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that following the development of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, Sanatan culture and religious tourism have gained global recognition. Now, not only Ujjain but also the natural, forest, wildlife and archaeological heritage sites across Madhya Pradesh and the country will be showcased to the world. The Madhya Pradesh Government is committed to this endeavour.
The religious Sawaari of Baba Mahakal was taken out during the holy month of Shravan. ChiefMinister Dr. Yadav said Baba Mahakal brings together the north and south, symbolising the rich cultural traditions of North and South India.He said Baba Mahakal will come out to bless devotees in the city on two more Mondays. With His blessings, every devotee who comes for darshan is spiritually fulfilled and blessed. Devotees immerse themselves in the unceasing stream of devotion.
