Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari Visits Amrita Haat, Encourages SHG Women to Sell Products Online

Jaipur, October 2026: Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Diya Kumari visited the state-level Amrita Haat at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Wednesday evening. The exhibition, being held from October 11 to 20, showcases handicrafts, textiles, jewellery and locally made products by women’s self-help groups (SHGs).

More than 170 stalls have been set up at the event to display and sell products made by women entrepreneurs.

During her visit, Diya Kumari interacted with women managing the stalls, appreciated their products and encouraged them to continue their entrepreneurial efforts. She also purchased some of their products to support their work.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the state government was committed to ensuring that every woman associated with a self-help group became an entrepreneur and gained recognition at the national level.

She advised the participating women not to depend solely on exhibitions and fairs to sell their products. Instead, she encouraged them to use digital marketing platforms to reach a wider customer base and expand their businesses.

Diya Kumari observed that online platforms were relatively easy to use and could provide women entrepreneurs with access to larger markets beyond their immediate geographical areas.

She also directed officials to organise digital marketing training for the participating women during the exhibition itself, enabling them to learn how to promote and sell their products online.

The initiative aims to strengthen women-led enterprises, improve market access for self-help groups and help women entrepreneurs expand their businesses through digital platforms.
