Revanth Reddy Orders Probe Into Missing 45 Acres in Erravalli, Notices to KCR Family

Telangana CM directs officials to trace land in Survey No. 325, seek revenue records from KCR’s family and plan a martyrs’ colony

Hyderabad, Oct 2026 : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed revenue officials to trace 45 acres of land that could not be accounted for during a recent survey of Survey No. 325 in Erravalli village of Siddipet district, where former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has his farmhouse.

The Chief Minister reviewed the land records and survey details relating to Erravalli and neighbouring Venkatapuram villages in Markook mandal. Officials informed him that revenue records show 388 acres under Survey No. 325, while the recent field survey could identify only 343 acres, leaving a discrepancy of 45 acres.

Reddy instructed officials to conduct a comprehensive exercise to establish the location and status of the unaccounted land and reconcile the revenue records with the ground position. A survey notification is also being issued for Erravalli and Venkatapuram to facilitate the exercise.

The Chief Minister further directed officials to issue notices to KCR and his family members, whose land holdings are located adjacent to the disputed survey area, asking them to submit their relevant revenue records for verification. The records will be examined along with the survey details to determine the boundaries and ownership status of the land in question.

The latest development follows a survey undertaken by the Revenue Department after Reddy ordered an inquiry into land-related issues surrounding KCR’s farmhouse. The survey began in September, with officials earlier fixing boundaries of the land adjoining the former Chief Minister’s agricultural property.

Reddy said the government planned to distribute land identified under Survey No. 325 among eligible local farmers. The move is part of the government’s stated intention to review land records and ensure that land found to belong to the government is put to public use.

The Chief Minister also ordered the establishment of a Telangana Martyrs’ Colony within the survey area for families of those who sacrificed their lives during the Telangana statehood movement. Housing plots are to be provided to eligible families, along with roads and other basic civic amenities.

Reddy suggested that the Housing Department be entrusted with the construction of the colony and directed officials to complete the project by June 2, 2027, Telangana Formation Day.

The Erravalli land issue has also become part of a wider political dispute between the Congress government and the BRS. In the Legislative Assembly on September 16, Reddy had raised questions over KCR’s land holdings and ordered an inquiry into alleged irregularities associated with the farmhouse and surrounding properties.

The Chief Minister had also alleged that the KCR family held 439.30 acres of land across 31 villages in nine districts, and questioned how such holdings were accumulated. These remain political allegations and have not been established through the latest survey.

The government’s immediate focus is now on reconciling the records with the field survey, identifying the 45-acre discrepancy and determining the legal status of the land before taking further action.
