State receives investment commitments worth Rs 43,250 crore at inaugural SING Forum 2026
Raipur, October 2026: Chhattisgarh has taken a major step towards becoming a key hub of India's digital economy by securing commitments for foreign direct investment (FDI) worth Rs 43,250 crore at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 held in Singapore.
The commitments include a major investment proposal of Rs 41,750 crore for an AI-ready data centre campus. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai led the state delegation at the forum, where Chhattisgarh participated on the nomination of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The major investment commitment has been made by Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global Pvt Ltd, which plans to establish a 100 MW AI-ready data centre campus in Chhattisgarh. The company develops and finances AI-ready data centres powered by on-site clean energy across the Asia-Pacific region and has a presence in Singapore, India, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Australia.
During the forum, Chief Minister Sai handed over an 'Invitation to Invest' to the company.
The proposed investment is expected to further accelerate activity in Chhattisgarh's digital sector. The state already has India's first AI data centre park, and the new project is expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh's position as an emerging centre for digital infrastructure in the country.
Energy Capital Global CEO Stanislav Borisov said the energy, land and political commitment required for AI infrastructure were available in Chhattisgarh.
"This MoU marks the beginning of a long-term partnership. We are excited to move forward with the development of the largest AI-ready data centre campus in Central India, bringing international capital and expertise to the state and training Chhattisgarh's engineers to operate the facility," Borisov said.
The state also received an FDI proposal worth Rs 1,500 crore from Sunstream Green Energy Pvt Ltd for the solar energy sector, along with associated battery storage and component manufacturing.
Chief Minister Sai said the investment commitments reflected the confidence of investors in Chhattisgarh's policies, potential and people. He said the investments would create new opportunities for the state's youth and help move Chhattisgarh closer to its goal of becoming a developed state.
Sai also participated in a fireside chat with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, organised by the Singapore Business Federation. Presenting Chhattisgarh's investment potential, Sai said the government did not believe in bringing reforms through closed-door discussions.
"We directly ask industry about their difficulties and make changes in our systems accordingly. More than 450 reforms have already been carried out, and this 'Reform Express' will not stop until people themselves say that no further reforms are needed," he said.
Sai said the combination of reforms, a progressive industrial policy and an active government had helped Chhattisgarh attract investment proposals worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore within just 18 months.
Singapore Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Gan Siow Huang, attended the forum as the chief guest. Her participation underlined Singapore's focus on deepening economic ties with Indian states.
Senior executives from global companies, including Mastercard, IHCL (Taj Hotels) and Nestlé, also addressed the forum.
On the sidelines of the event, Sai held separate meetings with Aquatech and Adroit Overseas Pvt Ltd. Discussions focused on infrastructure for the reuse of wastewater by industries and the opportunities available for large-scale food processing in Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister will participate in a CEO roundtable on October 6, where he is scheduled to meet senior leaders of leading Singapore-based companies and investment institutions. The meeting is expected to build on the investment momentum generated through the SING Forum 2026.
