Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is emerging stronger in every sector. India can overcome every challenge by leveraging its own strengths. Just as Jamvant reminded Lord Hanuman of his powers to help him cross the ocean in the Ramayana, Prime Minister Modi has made India aware of its own potential. He said, “Today, skills are the new currency and innovation is the new economy. Our institutions must become centres of skills, research, innovation and entrepreneurship. We need to establish an economic and knowledge value chain—from publication to patent, patent to prototype, and prototype to enterprise.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is a land of opportunities, endowed with talented youth, natural resources, agricultural strength, entrepreneurship and industrial capabilities. The Chief Minister was addressing the one-day state-level conclave on “Contribution of Centrally Funded Institutions for Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047.” He inaugurated the conclave by lighting the ceremonial lamp at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium.
‘One Institute–One Promise’ Theme of Conclave
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the souvenir Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047: Conference of Central Institutions. The conclave was organised by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. Held on the theme ‘One Institute–One Promise’, the conclave aimed to ensure the participation and contribution of central institutions located in Madhya Pradesh towards achieving the vision of Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047. During the inaugural session, MoUs were exchanged among various institutions.
Benefits of Institutional Knowledge and Technology Must Reach the Last Person
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said bringing representatives of various central institutions onto a common platform is a significant opportunity for Madhya Pradesh’s development. It will enable institutions to share their achievements, expertise and future plans while contributing in accordance with the state’s needs. He said knowledge and technology available with these institutions should not remain confined to laboratories and campuses but must reach the last person in society.
He said, “One Institute–One Commitment is not merely an idea but a roadmap for building Madhya Pradesh’s future.” Every institution should adopt a practical commitment related to the state’s development and implement it on the ground within a definite timeframe. The state government will provide full support for implementing these commitments and innovations.
Clear Vision and Collective Will Can Resolve Challenges
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said several countries across the world have overcome adverse circumstances and achieved remarkable progress through knowledge, discipline and technological capabilities. India, too, is rapidly moving towards self-reliance in defence, space, science, digital technology and innovation. Modern technology has strengthened the country’s ability to secure its borders and deal with various challenges. He said that healthy competition as well as mutual cooperation among states is essential for the country’s progress. The Chief Minister said, “Only when every state moves forward will India become a developed nation.” Referring to long-pending water-related issues with Rajasthan being taken forward through dialogue and cooperation, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said even complex problems can be resolved with a clear vision and collective will.
Youth Skills Must Be Aligned with Future Needs
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has abundant natural resources, land, youth power and institutional capacity. The need is to develop the skills of youth in line with future requirements. Central and state institutions should work together in skill development, research, digital technology, healthcare, agriculture, education, energy, environment, industry and innovation. This will create new employment opportunities for youth, promote entrepreneurship and ensure balanced regional development. He said effective coordination among the government, educational institutions, research organisations and industry will enable Madhya Pradesh to rapidly move towards a knowledge- and innovation-driven economy. Research undertaken by institutions should focus on solving real problems of the state and bringing positive changes to citizens’ lives.
Madhya Pradesh Will Play a Key Role in Building a Developed India
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated representatives of all participating institutions and expressed confidence that their experience, knowledge and commitment would give fresh impetus to the vision of ‘Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047’ and strengthen the state’s contribution to building a developed India.
We Must Pass on the Best to the Next Generation’
Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnwal said that the ‘Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047’ Vision Document is aligned with the goal of a developed India. Prime Minister Modi has outlined seven commitments to achieve this objective. He said Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in technology and innovation, and the goal is to bring together all development-oriented efforts for 2047. Participation of civil society, entrepreneurs, institutions and every citizen is essential. As a developing state moves towards becoming a developed state, quality improvement and outcome-oriented work are required in every sector. Shri Barnwal said,“We should set ambitious goals that can make us global leaders in our respective sectors.” Shri Barnwal said, referring to the growing focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that young people must be equipped with the skills required to meet the challenges posed by AI. He urged all central institutions to undertake commitments in their respective fields and work towards achieving tangible outcomes. CS Shri Barwal said,“The responsibility of building a developed Madhya Pradesh does not rest only with the government; it belongs to all of us. Our next generation will evaluate the efforts of the present generation and assess what we have left for them. We must pass on the best to the next generation.”
Madhya Pradesh Will Scale New Heights of Development Under CM Dr. Yadav
Prof. Rajiv Dixit, Vice-Chairman of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, said that the Madhya Pradesh government released the Samriddh Madhya Pradesh @2047 Vision Document last year, strengthening Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India. He said Madhya Pradesh can make a significant contribution to the developed India vision by working across more than 15 key sectors, including agriculture, forestry, rural development, renewable energy, technology and scientific research, defence and strategic institution management, humanities, education and skill development, design, development and culture, and sports. Representatives from these sectors participated in the conclave. More than 60 institutions from the state were represented. A Knowledge Repository Portal will also be launched, enabling institutions to share their ideas and knowledge. Prof. Dixit expressed confidence that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh would continue to scale new heights of development.
Central Institutions Share Ideas on State’s Overall Development
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with representatives of central institutions. Shri Santosh Kumar Vishwakarma, Chief Scientific Adviser at the Institute of Good Governance, moderated the session.
Representatives shared ideas and initiatives related to semiconductor technology, cybersecurity, drone technology, homestay training, physical education and sports training, research on critical elements, development of smart villages and the overall development of the state.
Shri Swarochit Somvanshi, Director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, proposed the vote of thanks. Shri Ashok Kadel, Director of the Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, directors and representatives of central institutions, vice-chancellors of universities, policymakers and scholars were also present.
13 MoUs Signed
Thirteen MoUs were signed at the conclave with reputed academic and research institutions to promote education, research, skill development and innovation in the state. The institutions include IIT Indore, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior, IISER Bhopal, ICAR-National Soybean Research Institute, Indore, NITTTR Bhopal, National Institute of Design (NID) Bhopal, ABV-IIITM Gwalior, IIIT Bhopal, CSIR-AMPRI Bhopal, School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Bhopal, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Bhopal, and Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. An MoU was also signed between the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal, and Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar.
