As part of these arrangements, villages and cities across Uttar Pradesh will remain illuminated on Dussehra, October 20. Instructions have been issued to ensure 24-hour electricity supply in districts, tehsils and rural areas.

Government aims to maintain a smooth, reliable power supply across the state during the festive season. Teams of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) are working to strengthen the electricity infrastructure across all five discom areas. Special attention is being given to maintenance of power lines and infrastructure, along with measures to prevent tripping and supply disruptions.
