Police Department Receives 8 New Cyber Police Stations Along with Police Residential Buildings and New Police Station Buildings
Raipur, January 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today virtually inaugurated development works of the Police Department worth ₹255 crore from the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur. These include 8 new cyber police stations in various districts, police residential buildings, and newly constructed police station buildings. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state and police personnel on this significant initiative.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today is a very auspicious day for the Police Department, as various construction works worth ₹255 crore have been inaugurated. He said that through the presentation, it was evident that the cyber police stations, SDOP offices, police outpost buildings, transit hostels, and residential buildings have been constructed in a highly aesthetic and convenient manner. Appreciating the concerned agencies for quality construction, the Chief Minister said that these facilities would motivate police officers and employees to work in a positive environment and enable them to discharge their duties more effectively. Shri Sai added that the government is continuously striving to provide better housing and workplace facilities to officers and employees so that law and order in the state can be further strengthened. He described this as a good beginning and said that it would help strengthen the security system even in remote areas.
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma informed that cyber police stations are being established at several locations in the state to effectively control cyber crimes. Today, a total of 8 new cyber police stations have been inaugurated, including those in Jashpur, Raigarh, and Rajnandgaon districts. Earlier, cyber police stations were operational in five districts of the state. In the future, cyber police stations will also be established in other districts as per requirement. In addition, campuses of the India Reserve Battalion in four districts, new police station buildings in nine districts, a Central Armed Force outpost in Mana, and residential buildings were also inaugurated. Home Minister Shri Sharma expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for approving and inaugurating these construction works worth ₹255 crore and the 8 new cyber police stations, and extended congratulations and best wishes to all.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Home Department Secretary Shri Himshikhar Gupta, Director General of Police, Police Housing Corporation, Shri Pawan Dev, ADG Shri SRP Kalluri, ADG Shri Pradeep Gupta, ADG Vivekanand Sinha, ADG Shri Deepanshu Kabra, ADG Shri Amit Kumar, and other senior officers were present. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MLA Shri Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, MLA Shri Bhaiya Lal Rajwade, Shri Lalit Chandrakar, MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, and other public representatives participated in the programme through virtual mode.
It is noteworthy that today the Chief Minister inaugurated several facilities, including the 21st India Reserve Battalion at Karkabhat in Balod district; police station building at Sanaud; 20th India Reserve Battalion at Parsada in Mahasamund district; police outpost building at Karelibadi in Dhamtari district; Central Arms Store at Raipur district; 4th Battalion at Mana with transit hostel; 19th India Reserve Battalion at Karanpur in Bastar district; police station buildings at Tarrem and Naimed in Bijapur district; police station buildings at Chintagufa and Chintalnar in Sukma district; 22nd India Reserve Battalion at Bhirawahi in Kanker district; police station buildings at Bharanda and Bainur, and transit hostel at Narayanpur district; police station buildings at Padmanabhpur and Pulgaon in Durg district; 36 non-gazetted and 48 head constable residential quarters; SDOP office building at Dhamdha; SDOP office building at Berla in Bemetara district; SIB field unit and transit hostel at Durg in Rajnandgaon district; police outpost at Kudargarh in Surajpur district; 24 non-gazetted and 144 head constable/constable residential quarters at Baikunthpur in Korea district; and transit hostel at Balrampur.
