Chief Minister Attends Various Programs in Narayanpur Region
Raipur, January 2026 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, who arrived in Narayanpur on a two-day visit, participated in several social, sports, and tourism-related activities, beginning with the inauguration of the Peace Half Marathon organized in the Abujhmarh region. The Chief Minister reviewed and encouraged the efforts being undertaken by the state government to promote peace, enhance livelihoods, and strengthen local participation in the region. He also interacted with the local people to further reinforce trust and community involvement.
Flag-Off to Bikers
Near Shant Sarovar, Chief Minister Shri Sai flagged off 40 bikers from Raipur’s Chhattisgarh Riding Club. This group of bikers will travel to Kachhapal, a remote tourist destination in Narayanpur. Through this initiative, efforts are being made to explore and understand Abujhmarh and to spread the message of peace among the masses.
Boating at Shant Sarovar
At Shant Sarovar, located near Bijli village, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai enjoyed a boat ride along with Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, and Chairman of the Minor Forest Produce Board Shri Roop Sai Salam. This special initiative has been undertaken by the local administration with the objective of promoting local tourism.
Target Practice with Bow and Arrow
During a program held at Binjli, Chief Minister Shri Sai warmly interacted with local youth archers and himself took up a bow and arrow to aim at the target, thereby encouraging the players. He stated that there is no shortage of sports talent in the Bastar region. The state government is continuously working to connect the traditional skills of the tribal community with modern training and take them to the national level. Coordinated efforts are being made by the administration to promote peace, livelihoods, and sports development.
The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government, in coordination with the district administration and security forces, is continuously working to establish peace in the region, enhance livelihoods, provide platforms to sports talents, and build an atmosphere of trust. Present during the program were the Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner Shri Doman Singh, IG Shri Sundarraj P, Collector Ms. Namrata Jain, Superintendent of Police Shri Robinson Guriya, CEO Ms. Akanksha Shiksha Khalkho, and other officials.
