Eight Cheetahs to Arrive in MP from Botswana on February 28: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh holds immense potential for the development of tourism, expansion of reserve forests and wildlife conservation. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and with the support of the Union Government, the state government is taking unprecedented steps toward wildlife conservation. Following the successful reintroduction of cheetahs in Kuno National Park, wild buffalo from Assam will soon be seen roaming freely in the forests of Madhya Pradesh.
To complete all necessary procedures for bringing wild buffalo from Assam to Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held discussions on various issues with Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi on Wednesday. The Chief Minister said that eight cheetahs will be brought to Madhya Pradesh from Botswana on February 28. He also held detailed discussions with the Union Minister regarding the required cooperation and arrangements for the cheetah reintroduction program.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed gratitude to the Union Government for its cooperation in wildlife conservation and biodiversity enhancement. Union Minister Shri Yadav appreciated the efforts of Madhya Pradesh and assured all possible support.

Briefs on ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’ and Wheat Procurement and Storage
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is observing a ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’ in the interest of farmers. He stated that the government is committed to ensuring remunerative prices for farmers’ produce. The process of wheat procurement and storage is set to begin in the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Prahlad Joshi in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions on the Farmer Welfare Year being observed in Madhya Pradesh, as well as arrangements for wheat procurement and storage.
He said that wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh is carried out smoothly with adequate storage facilities. Union Minister Shri Joshi assured all necessary support to Madhya Pradesh for wheat procurement.
