Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Releases Forest Department’s Vision Document
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the Forest Department’s publication titled “Vision 2047 – Reimagining Forest Resources for a Climate Resilient Future” at the Chief Minister’s residence.
“Vision@2047” presents a long-term roadmap for biodiversity-rich, community-driven forest management in the state.
Principal Secretary, Forest, Shri Sandeep Yadav, informed that the objective of Vision@2047 is to establish the state’s forests as climate-resilient and biodiversity-rich model forests at both national and international levels. The vision document places special emphasis on encouraging the participation of local communities in forest conservation and management.
It further outlines a strategy to conserve the state’s forests as thriving ecosystems capable of securing livelihoods. The document also highlights efforts to preserve the natural heritage located within the state’s forest areas. He stated that this vision document of the Forest Department will make a decisive contribution to India’s environmental and developmental goals.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force Shri V. N. Ambade, Managing Director of the State Forest Development Corporation Shri H. U. Khan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Research & Extension) Shri Vibhash Kumar Thakur, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Shri Shubhranjan Sen, Managing Director of the State Minor Forest Produce Federation Smt. Sameeta Rajora, and Director of Van Vihar Shri Vijay Kumar were present on the occasion .
