Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 Concludes in Mohali, CM Bhagwant Mann Highlights State’s Emerging Tech Hub

Mohali, March 2026 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday attended the grand closing ceremony of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026, held at Plaksha University from March 13 to 15. The three-day summit brought together investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders from India and abroad, creating a platform not only for discussions on trade and investment but also for showcasing Punjab’s vibrant culture and hospitality.

Taking to the social media platform X, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to all investors who participated in the event. He thanked business leaders and delegates for their interest in exploring opportunities in Punjab and acknowledged their confidence in the state’s economic potential.

“Today, I attended the grand closing ceremony of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 in Mohali. I wholeheartedly thank all the industrialists and investors who came from across the country and abroad to participate in this important event,” Mann wrote in his post.

The Chief Minister also reiterated the state government’s commitment to building a strong and prosperous future for Punjab. He emphasized that the trust shown by investors would open new doors for industrial growth and job creation across the state. According to him, the summit demonstrated the growing interest of domestic and global investors in Punjab’s development journey.

Highlighting the region’s technological potential, Mann noted that Mohali is rapidly emerging as a major technology hub. He said that in the era of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, the city is gaining prominence as a center for innovation, startups and IT-driven industries. The government, he added, is determined to support this transformation and create an ecosystem that encourages research, entrepreneurship and investment.

According to the Punjab government, delegates from India and overseas not only explored the state’s economic opportunities but also experienced its renowned hospitality, rich cultural traditions and distinctive cuisine. The summit therefore became a celebration of Punjab’s spirit as much as it was a forum for business dialogue.

One of the key highlights of the event was a special cultural evening organized at the Mohali Golf Range. The programme celebrated the state’s musical heritage and traditional art forms, offering visitors a memorable glimpse into Punjabi culture.

Popular Punjabi singers Ranjit Bawa and Harjit Harman enthralled the audience with energetic performances. Ranjit Bawa captivated the crowd with several of his well-known songs, including “Heavyweight Bhangra,” “Family Di Member,” “Sher,” “Muqabla,” and “Chhote Chhote Ghar.” His lively stage presence encouraged investors and delegates to join the celebrations, filling the venue with enthusiasm and excitement.

Harjit Harman began his performance with devotional songs before moving on to some of his popular tracks such as “Jithon Marzi Vangan Chadhva Lain,” “Mitran Da Naa Chalda,” “Punjab Guruan Di Kirpa Naal Vasda,” and “24 Carat Gold.” His performance reflected the deep cultural and spiritual roots of Punjab, adding a soulful dimension to the evening.

The cultural programme also featured traditional Punjabi folk dances performed by the Jugni Cultural Group. Their energetic presentations of Luddi and Bhangra received loud applause from the audience and gave guests an authentic experience of Punjab’s lively folk traditions.

Welcoming the investors and guests, Punjab’s Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora said that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, had ensured that the summit showcased not only Punjab’s investment potential but also its proud heritage and cultural richness.

Through this summit, he said, the government highlighted the vast economic opportunities available in Punjab while also presenting the vibrant cultural identity that defines the state. The aim was to ensure that every investor experienced the warmth of Punjab and left with a lasting impression of its people, traditions and potential.

Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian was also present at the event. Delegates and visitors from across the country and overseas appreciated the hospitality extended by the Punjab government. Many praised the well-organized arrangements, engaging cultural programmes and authentic Punjabi cuisine, which together made the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.
