‘Telangana Thalli’ Statue Unveiled at Assembly, Symbolising State Pride

Hyderabad, March 2026 : In a significant tribute to Telangana’s cultural identity and heritage, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla unveiled the statue of “Telangana Thalli” within the Legislative Assembly premises on the opening day of the budget session. The ceremony was held in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and several prominent state leaders.

The statue represents the personification of Telangana, embodying its rich traditions, cultural legacy, and resilient spirit. Its installation within the Assembly complex highlights the state’s pride in its identity and serves as a symbolic reminder of its historical and cultural roots.

The unveiling ceremony witnessed the participation of key dignitaries, including Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash, along with several ministers, MLAs, and MLCs.

Before the unveiling, the Governor and the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and B. R. Ambedkar at their statues within the Assembly परिसर. This gesture underscored respect for the leaders who shaped India’s democratic and social foundations.

Following this, they proceeded to the newly installed Telangana Thalli statue, located in front of the renovated Legislative Council building, where they formally inaugurated it and offered floral respects.

The occasion marked a moment of pride for the state, bringing together leaders across the political spectrum to celebrate Telangana’s shared heritage. The statue is expected to stand as a lasting emblem of unity, cultural pride, and the aspirations of the people of Telangana.
