Nitish Kumar Reviews Development Projects in Munger During Samriddhi Yatra

Patna, March 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects in Munger district during his Samriddhi Yatra.

At a programme held at Safiyabad Airstrip in Munger, the Chief Minister conducted a detailed review of development and welfare schemes related to the district. During the review, he sought information from officials regarding the implementation status of various projects announced under the yatra.

Munger District Magistrate Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar made a detailed presentation before the Chief Minister, outlining the progress of schemes under Saat Nischay–2 and Saat Nischay–3, along with other development initiatives being executed in the district.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the implementation of all approved schemes under the Samriddhi Yatra. He emphasized the need for efficient execution of projects under Saat Nischay–2 and instructed that work on schemes identified under Saat Nischay–3 should be initiated promptly and carried out effectively.

The Chief Minister noted that shortly after the formation of the new government on November 20, 2025, the state launched programmes under Saat Nischay–3 with the aim of placing Bihar among the most developed states in the country. He highlighted that one of the key objectives of Saat Nischay–3 is to promote “Ease of Living” by reducing everyday difficulties faced by citizens and improving their quality of life.

He reiterated that the government’s primary goal is to ensure dignity for all and make life easier for the people. He urged officials to implement schemes with sensitivity and commitment so that Bihar can progress into the league of the most developed states.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s target of providing employment and job opportunities to one crore youth over the next five years. He said that the state government is encouraging industrial growth and self-employment by offering various facilities and special financial packages to entrepreneurs. Adequate infrastructure and support systems are being developed across districts to attract investments.

He further stated that a startup policy has been introduced to enable young people to launch their own ventures, with the aim of making them skilled, self-reliant, and financially secure.

The review meeting was attended by several ministers, senior officials, and representatives from various departments.
