Sports Minister Welcomes New KISCE Staff
Aizawl : This afternoon, Sports & Youth Services Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar met with the newly appointed staff of the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE) at his office chamber. The KISCE aims to nurture the best sports talents in Mizoram and elevate them to the status of a Centre of Excellence.
The Sports Minister emphasized the need for improvement in the identification of promising sports talents, the enhancement of training methods, and the overall development of KISCE. He noted that the staff at KISCE play a crucial role in advancing Mizoram’s progress in sports, and they are expected to carry out their responsibilities with utmost dedication.
Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar highlighted the importance of striving for excellence in sports, urging the new KISCE staff to work diligently and with determination to achieve positive results. He pointed out that Mizoram’s performance in National Games has not yet met expectations, and even in the Northeast Games, the state’s results have been less than satisfactory. He stressed the need for KISCE staff to enhance their efforts to ensure that Mizoram can compete successfully on a national level.
The meeting was attended by Pu Lalramsanga Sailo, Secretary of the Sports & Youth Services Department, and Pu H. Lalhmingthanga, Director of the Sports & Youth Services Department, who accompanied the Minister.
