TRTI Officials and Staff Trained in Disaster Management for Museum Maintenance

Raipur, March 2026: Officials and staff of the Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI) were provided practical training in disaster management to ensure effective maintenance and safety of museums located in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Sector-24. These include the “Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum” and the “Tribal Museum”.

The training programme was attended by the institute’s Director, Mrs. Hina Aminesh Netam, along with other officials and employees. It was organised with the support of the Home Guards, Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

During the session, a skilled SDRF team delivered detailed technical and practical insights on “Disaster Management and Emergency Response.” The training was conducted under the leadership of Mr. Pushparaj Singh, with assistance from Assistant Sub-Inspectors Mr. Deepak Kaushik and Mr. Rakesh Bhoyar.

Following the theoretical session, a practical demonstration was conducted in the institute’s open परिसर. Participants were trained in handling various emergency situations, including fire-related incidents, and were shown immediate response techniques for disaster scenarios. Officials, staff members, visitors, and students present at the museum also took part in hands-on practice exercises.

Director Hina Aminesh Netam stated that the training proved highly beneficial for all participants, not only from a workplace safety perspective but also in terms of personal and family safety. She added that similar training programmes, especially on emergency health-related topics, will be conducted in the future to further strengthen preparedness and awareness.
