Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf: This War Is Israel’s War, US Battle Tested Generals Defy Hegseth’s Betrayal Of American Lives For Israel.

Tehran; April 2026: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf have said that the ongoing aggression is “Israel’s war”, adding that its security repercussions and resulting losses have extended beyond the region and affected the wider world. “This war is Israel’s war, and the resulting security breakdown and losses have affected the world”, Qalibaf said in an interview with media reporters.

He added that Iran has prepared for this confrontation and proven its ability to defend itself. “Iran was forced to target US bases and interests in the region to preserve its presence”, he said, warning that any further escalation against Iran “will be met with a decisive and broad response” directed at US interests.

According to Qalibaf, maintaining stability in the region serves the interests of all regional states, and Iran considers sustainable security a priority. He added that countries in the region are capable of safeguarding their interests through bilateral and multilateral security arrangements “without foreign interference”. Qalibaf further have said that the key sources of regional instability must be addressed, emphasising that security should be established “without the involvement of the United States and Israel”.

While expressing his reactions to the dismissals of senior US defence officials, Qalibaf said, “Pete Hegseth’s dismissing high-ranking generals, linking the trend to their defying the US war secretary’s betraying American lives in favor of the Israeli regime. Battle-tested generals refuse to be the yes-men for a TV host selling out American lives for Israel’s delusions”.

He was referring to Hegseth’s association with television industry. Additionally, Qalibaf was referencing the Israeli regime’s widely reported agitation of the United States towards forcing it to join Tel Aviv in the duo’s latest bout of unprovoked aggression against the Islamic Republic. The remarks came as the aggression has significantly strained United States’s resources, proven deadly for its forces, and resulted in a strategic quandary for American officials.

Qalibaf described American forces’ paying for the war with their lives as the “short-term price” of the Israeli-instigated aggression.

He went on to reiterate that the war’s long-term cost would be “American taxpayers paying at the pump for decades”. In retaliation for the aggression, Iran has closed the strategic Hormuz Strait to enemy vessels, something that has contributed to spiking gasoline prices inside the United States.

The Islamic Republic has pledged to sustain the closure to further devastating economic consequences for the adversaries and their allies. “Real LEGACY”, Qalibaf concluded, in an ironic reference to how the aggression had backfired, contrary to US’s expectations.

Team Maverick.
