MP Fulfilling PM Modi’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ Resolution: CM Dr. Yadav
Bhopal, April 2026 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed happiness over Madhya Pradesh’s remarkable achievements in Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme and said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, street vendors in the state are reaching new heights of self-reliance. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has set an exceptional example by leading the country in successful implementation of the scheme, which reflects the government’s strong commitment to Antyodaya and inclusive development.
Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur’s Historic Success
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised the outstanding performance of urban bodies in national rankings. He said Indore Municipal Corporation has secured first place among all urban bodies in the country by disbursing 33,332 loan cases under the new PM SVANidhi scheme, bringing pride to the state.
In cities with a population between 10 lakh and 40 lakh, Bhopal has secured second position nationwide and Jabalpur has secured third position, proving their excellence in development benchmarks.
Dr. Yadav said that this achievement is not limited to statistics, but reflects the positive transformation in the lives of small traders and street vendors.
Qualitative Change In Lives Of Street Vendors
Sharing details of the scheme’s expansion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that more than 9.92 lakh street vendors in the state have benefited so far. Through 15.69 lakh loan cases, an amount of Rs 2632 crore has been directly disbursed to beneficiaries.
In the revamped scheme, graded loan assistance of Rs 15,000, Rs 25,000, and Rs 50,000 is being provided, along with a UPI-linked credit card facility up to Rs 30,000, which is helping meet working capital needs smoothly.
Digital Revolution and Rise of Small Urban Bodies
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the progress in digital literacy and said that more than 7 lakh street vendors in the state have adopted digital transactions and have received cashback of over Rs 47 crore.
He specially mentioned that in urban bodies with a population of less than 1 lakh, Sarni Nagar Palika has secured first position nationwide, proving that with determination even small bodies can establish their identity at the national level. In the same category, performance of Balaghat (5th), Tikamgarh (7th), and Harda (9th) was also described as exemplary.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed confidence that this scheme, extended till March 31, 2030, will further strengthen the urban economy of Madhya Pradesh and become a powerful medium for the economic empowerment of people from the lowest sections of society.
