Major Crackdown Under ‘Operation Enforcement’: 35 Illegal Gas Cylinders Seized
Jaipur, April 2026 : In a major action against illegal gas refilling and black marketing, the district administration carried out a significant operation under the special drive ‘Operation Enforcement’, resulting in the seizure of 35 domestic and commercial gas cylinders.
The drive is being conducted in Jaipur city under the directions of the Rajasthan Government and the Department of Food and Civil Supplies to curb black marketing, illegal storage, and unauthorized refilling of LPG cylinders.
Acting under the guidance of District Collector Sandesh Nayak, a special enforcement team was constituted by the District Supply Officer, Jaipur-I. Based on information received from Sanganer Sadar police station, a joint operation was conducted at Govindpura (Baksawala) on Shikarpura Road in Jaipur.
During the raid, officials seized a total of 35 illegal gas cylinders, along with an electronic weighing scale and an electric motor used for refilling purposes.
Preliminary investigations revealed that such illegal refilling centres are a major cause of accidents in the city. These operations, often conducted without adherence to safety standards, pose a serious threat to public life and property.
Two individuals found involved in the illegal activity have been booked, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against them at Sanganer Sadar police station.
The district administration has made it clear that strict action will continue against those engaged in illegal refilling, storage, and black marketing activities. Authorities have also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities to the concerned department promptly, ensuring collective efforts toward maintaining public safety.
