Adani Group to Invest ₹1,060 Crore in Guna Cement Unit, Boosting Madhya Pradesh Growth

Guna (Madhya Pradesh), May 2026 : Director of the Adani Group, Pranav Adani, on Sunday addressed the gathering at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Adani Cement Grinding Unit in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the group’s long-term commitment to industrial development, employment generation, and infrastructure growth in the state.

Addressing the gathering in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, state ministers, government officials, business partners, and local residents, Pranav Adani said the occasion marked not just the beginning of a new industrial project, but a significant milestone in the economic transformation of Madhya Pradesh.

“It gives me immense pride to be present amongst you today, on this sacred soil of Guna, for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Adani Cement. Today marks not merely the commencement of a single project, but a day that will give a new direction to the development of Madhya Pradesh,” he said.

Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Pranav Adani stated that the state has gained fresh momentum in infrastructure, industry, and employment under the present government. He noted that the projected GDP of Madhya Pradesh crossing ₹15 lakh crore in 2025 reflects the growing economic strength of the state.

He further said that the PM Gati-Shakti vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened logistics, industrial infrastructure, and transportation facilities across the state, creating a strong and attractive environment for investments.

Pranav Adani also expressed special gratitude to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for his continued support and cooperation. According to him, development plans have rapidly moved from planning stages to implementation because of coordinated efforts between the government and industry stakeholders.

Referring to the Adani Vikas Kendra inaugurated recently in Shivpuri district, he said Scindia’s presence and encouragement had further motivated the group to expand its developmental initiatives in Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking about the Adani Group’s broader vision, he said the conglomerate today operates across several key sectors of the Indian economy including energy, infrastructure, logistics, mining, and green technology.

“Our goal is not merely to expand our business, but to contribute to India’s development and bring about a real transformation in people’s lives,” he said.

Pranav Adani recalled that during the Global Investors Summit held in Bhopal last year, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani had announced an investment commitment of ₹1.10 lakh crore for Madhya Pradesh.

He said the investments are planned across sectors such as hydro pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters, and thermal energy, and are expected to create employment opportunities for nearly 1.2 lakh people by 2030.

“Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks a firm step towards translating that very promise into reality on the ground,” he added.

Pranav Adani said the company’s primary focus remains on creating employment opportunities for the people of Guna district while ensuring inclusive and sustainable development.

Highlighting the group’s existing investments in Madhya Pradesh, he stated that Adani Group has already invested more than ₹4,000 crore in the Ametha and Kymor plants in Katni district.

He further noted that Adani Power currently supplies 1,200 megawatts of electricity to Madhya Pradesh and preparations are underway to generate an additional 5,600 megawatts to meet the state’s future energy requirements.

In the renewable energy sector, he said the group has commissioned wind energy projects in Lahori, Dhar, Ratlam, and Ujjain. He also announced that the foundation stone for another cement plant in Ujjain will soon be laid.

Speaking specifically about the new Guna cement grinding unit, Pranav Adani said Adani Cement currently has a production capacity of 109 MTPA and is continuously expanding its manufacturing and supply network across the country.

“Our endeavor is to establish a production and supply network that ensures our cement reaches people quickly, keeps costs low, and maintains consistent quality,” he said.

The Guna project, he informed, will be developed in two phases with an annual production capacity of 40 lakh metric tonnes. The first phase is targeted for commissioning by 2028.

The project will involve an investment of over ₹1,060 crore, making it the largest investment in Guna district to date.

According to Pranav Adani, the project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for nearly 1,500 people and contribute more than ₹6,000 crore to the state treasury in the coming years.

However, he emphasized that the real value of any project should not be measured only in financial numbers but in the positive transformation it brings to people’s lives.

“This plant will generate new opportunities in the surrounding area — including new small businesses, transportation, services, and local supply chains,” he said.

Describing the project as more than just an industrial investment, Pranav Adani said it represented trust in the people of Madhya Pradesh, belief in the future of local youth, and a partnership for the state’s long-term progress.

He concluded by thanking the Madhya Pradesh government for creating an industry-friendly environment and assuring that the Adani Group would continue to stand alongside the state in its development journey and contribute towards India’s nation-building efforts.

“Thank you. Jai Hind,” he said in conclusion.
