Minister Lakshmi Rajwade Extends Mother’s Day Greetings

Raipur, May 2026: Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all mothers across the state on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

In her message, Minister Rajwade said that a mother is a child’s first teacher, the greatest source of inspiration, and an unwavering pillar of support in every circumstance. She stated that a mother’s selfless love, sacrifice, and blessings form the greatest strength of the family, society, and nation.

She added that the affection and values imparted by mothers play a vital role in nurturing sensitivity, morality, and humanity within society.

Minister Rajwade further said that the government remains continuously committed to ensuring the respect, safety, and empowerment of mothers. Through the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, financial assistance is being provided to pregnant women to support their health and nutrition.

She also highlighted Chhattisgarh’s ambitious Mahtari Vandan Yojana and other public welfare schemes aimed at providing economic and social support to mothers and helping them become self-reliant.

The Minister emphasized that an empowered mother forms the foundation of a strong family, a strong society, and ultimately a strong nation. Therefore, the respect and upliftment of women and mothers remain among the government’s highest priorities.
