Madhya Pradesh Emerging as India’s ‘Next-Gen Technology Hub’: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is moving beyond its identity as an emerging IT state and is establishing itself as India’s ‘Next-Gen Technology Hub’. He stated that in the coming years, Madhya Pradesh will emerge as a major growth engine of the country’s digital and technology economy. The Chief Minister said that policies implemented in future-oriented sectors such as GCCs, Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, drones, SpaceTech and AVGC-XR are positioning Madhya Pradesh as India’s new technology powerhouse. These policies are not only attracting global investments but also generating new opportunities for employment, innovation, and skill development for the youth. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly advancing towards a technology-driven, innovation-led, and skill-based development model.

Madhya Pradesh First State in India to Implement GCC Policy

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the ‘Global Capability Centres (GCC) Policy-2025’. The policy aims to encourage multinational companies to establish technology, research, analytics, and shared services centres in the State. The State Government is offering incentives such as capital subsidies, land rebates, rental assistance and payroll support for technology professionals. The modern IT infrastructure being developed in cities such as Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur is making Madhya Pradesh an attractive investment destination. The world-class IT parks being developed on Indore’s Super Corridor are expected to generate thousands of employment opportunities.

State Advancing Rapidly in Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is also making rapid progress in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector. Through the ‘Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Policy-2025’, the State is promoting chip design, electronics manufacturing, research and development and design-led startups. The policy includes provisions for capital investment assistance, land rebates, stamp duty reimbursement, and electricity tariff concessions. Special incentives are also being provided to research-driven companies and design startups.

Investment proposals worth thousands of crores for setting up PCB manufacturing units in Bhopal and Gwalior reflect growing confidence in the sector. The Government is also introducing specialised courses in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), chip design and electronics manufacturing in higher educational institutions to create a future-ready skilled workforce.

Madhya Pradesh Moving Towards National Leadership in Space Technology

With the launch of the ‘SpaceTech Policy-2026’, Madhya Pradesh is also taking major strides in space technology. The objective of the policy is to position Madhya Pradesh as a leading space technology hub in the country. The policy promotes satellite manufacturing, geospatial analytics, space startups, and advanced research. The State Government is providing capital assistance of up to 40 per cent, research grants, and startup support. The Government is working with the Central Government enterprise IN-SPACe to develop a SpaceTech cluster in Bhopal. Participation of institutions such as IIT Indore, IISER Bhopal, RRCAT, and MPCST is strengthening the State’s space innovation ecosystem. Initiatives such as the SmallSat Digital Twin Lab and Space Innovation Sandbox are helping Madhya Pradesh gain a distinct national identity in the SpaceTech sector.

Drone Technology Enhancing Administrative Efficiency

Through the “Drone Promotion and Usage Policy-2025,” the State Government is promoting drone manufacturing and drone-based services. The use of drone technology is being expanded across sectors such as agriculture, land records, disaster management, traffic monitoring, mining and forest management.

At the same time, youth are being trained in drone technology through the “Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana.”

AVGC-XR Sector Receiving Strong Push

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government is also promoting the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) sector. AVGC-XR labs, Centres of Excellence, and a 20-acre Media Park are being developed in the State. These initiatives are expected to provide new momentum to digital content creation and the creative economy. Youth are also being provided employment-oriented training in gaming, animation, and digital media.

AI-Based Governance Getting Stronger

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government is moving rapidly towards an AI-based governance model. Through the ‘Regional AI Impact Summit-2026’, the use of Artificial Intelligence in administrative processes, citizen services, and data analysis is being promoted. This initiative is expected to strengthen transparency, speed, and efficiency in governance.

Technology Investment Proposals Worth ₹18,000 Crore Under Process

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government is actively engaging with global investors and technology companies. Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) has been designated as the nodal agency for the effective implementation of these technology policies.

Currently, more than 35 major technology investment proposals, with an estimated value exceeding ₹18,000 crore, are under process in the State.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly progressing towards a technology-driven, innovation-oriented, and skill-based development model. Policies implemented in sectors such as GCCs, AI, semiconductors, drones, SpaceTech and AVGC-XR are playing a crucial role in establishing the State as India’s new technology powerhouse.
