Skill Development Training Programme Concludes; Unemployed Youth Secure Jobs
Lucknow, June 2026 : The valedictory ceremony of the four-month residential Skill Development Training Programme sponsored by NTPC Unchahar was held today at the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET). During the programme, 60 trainees who successfully completed the training were awarded job offer letters and training certificates.
Under the programme, 60 youths from village panchayats affected by the NTPC Unchahar project were provided technical and vocational training. The training aimed to equip participants with skills aligned with modern industrial requirements and create employment opportunities for them in various industrial establishments across the country.
The chief guest at the ceremony was Vishva Mohan Singh, Project Head, NTPC Unchahar. Addressing the gathering, he said that skill development programmes play a vital role in making youth self-reliant and enabling them to secure dignified employment.
He appreciated the training programmes being conducted by CIPET and assured continued support for such initiatives in the future. Extending his best wishes to the trainees, he expressed hope for their bright future and encouraged them to continue striving for progress and success in life.
During the event, the trainees also shared their experiences and expressed gratitude towards NTPC Unchahar and CIPET for providing them with valuable training and employment opportunities.
Among those present at the programme were Pankaj Kumar, Head of Human Resources; Sneh Tripathi, Senior Manager (Human Resources); and Sonali, Executive (CSR).
The programme was chaired by Vivek Kumar, Joint Director and Head of CIPET Lucknow, while Krishna Pratap Singh, In-charge of Skill Development, conducted the proceedings.
On the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Panda, Training In-charge; Gyanendra Gupta, Processing In-charge; Lavkush Mishra; and other officers and staff members of the institute were also present.
