Lucknow, June 2026 : The Yogi Government is continuously taking significant steps to strengthen the AYUSH healthcare system and expand quality healthcare and medical education across Uttar Pradesh. In this direction, the government has decided to establish 5 new Integrated AYUSH Hospitals and Colleges.
These AYUSH Hospitals and Colleges will be established in the divisions of Gonda, Mirzapur, Meerut, Agra and Basti, where students will receive education in traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy, along with modern health sciences.
The decision of the Yogi Government will not only expand the scope of AYUSH education in the state but will also help provide better healthcare services at the local level. Through these new colleges, young people will have greater opportunities for medical education, and a skilled workforce in the field of AYUSH medicine will be developed.
Principal Secretary, AYUSH, Ranjan Kumar said, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously working towards strengthening India’s traditional medical heritage alongside modern healthcare facilities so that safe, affordable and effective healthcare services can be made available to the people of the state.
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, land has been identified in 5 divisions for the establishment of 5 new Integrated AYUSH Hospitals and Colleges.
In Devipatan Division, approximately 14.82 acres of land has been identified in Village Kodar, Wazirganj Development Block, Gonda.
In Mirzapur Division, 13.83 acres of land has been identified in Village Akodhi of Sadar Tehsil.
For Meerut Division, 11 acres of land has been identified in Village Saidpur Husainpur Dalna, Modinagar Tehsil, Ghaziabad.

AYUSH Director General and Mission Director Chaitra V. stated, land for AYUSH Colleges has become available in all 5 divisions. She added that the blueprint for the Government Integrated AYUSH College and Hospital is currently being prepared.
She further said, the new AYUSH Colleges will not only serve as educational institutions but will also be developed as centres of research and innovation. Research on Ayurvedic medicines, Yoga therapy, lifestyle-based treatments and traditional systems of medicine will be promoted at these institutions. This will help further strengthen India’s traditional medical systems on a scientific basis.
The establishment of these new AYUSH Colleges will provide students from different regions of the state with an opportunity to pursue high-quality medical education within their own divisions. As a result, students from remote areas will not have to depend on larger cities for higher medical education.
The colleges will be equipped with modern laboratories, hospitals, research facilities and training centres, giving AYUSH education a new level of quality and recognition.
