Coastal Cleanliness Campaign at Juhu on September 21 for ‘International Coastal Cleanliness Day’

Mumbai : To raise awareness about marine pollution and the importance of cleanliness, a seashore cleaning campaign will be held at Juhu Beach on September 21, 2024. This event will mark International Coastal Cleanliness Day and will feature Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

The campaign is organized by the Union Ministry of Forests, Environment, and Climate Change in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra. It will involve participation from elected officials, students, youth organizations, the National Student Army, and Maritime Security Forces.

Additionally, local self-government bodies will conduct similar coastal cleaning campaigns in all coastal districts of the state on the same day.
