Adviser to CM (Technical) Er. H. Ginzalala Meets with Key Central Government Officials
New Delhi : Adviser to the Chief Minister (Technical), Er. H. Ginzalala, visited New Delhi from September 3-6 and held meetings with various central government officials. These included Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways; Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways; Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary, DARE & Director General of ICAR; Shri Vijay Kumar, Chairman of IWAI, and other ministry officials, to discuss critical issues concerning Mizoram.
As the MLA representing Champhai North, Er. H. Ginzalala raised several important matters. These included the establishment of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Lunglei, Champhai, and Saitual districts, the expansion of helicopter services in Mizoram, the NH-06 Champhai Khankawn-Kanan road project, and the development of inland waterways in Mizoram. The meetings were productive, and the central officials assured that they would take the necessary steps to address these issues.

Er. H. Ginzalala, on behalf of Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, followed up on efforts to enhance helicopter services in Mizoram, meeting with officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Civil Aviation. The Ministry of Home Affairs revealed plans to provide additional helicopter services, and once the necessary documentation is completed by the Mizoram government, the tender process will begin.
In his meeting with Shri Nitin Gadkari, Er. H. Ginzalala discussed the Champhai Khankawn to Champhai Kanan road and various other projects undertaken by NHIDCL in Mizoram. The Minister assured that further initiatives would be taken to improve road connectivity in the state.
During discussions with Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, and Shri Vijay Kumar, Chairman of IWAI, the development of inland waterways in Mizoram was explored. Ministry officials committed to thoroughly examining the feasibility of these projects from an environmental, technical, and economic standpoint before finalizing any plans. Er. H. Ginzalala emphasized that these projects are still in the concept stage and require a detailed study, which will be reviewed by the Chief Minister.
The Adviser also discussed the ongoing efforts to establish KVKs in Lunglei, Champhai, and Saitual districts with Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary of DARE and Director General of ICAR. It was agreed that necessary steps will be taken to expedite the establishment of KVKs in these districts.
Er. H. Ginzalala was accompanied by Pu James Lalrinchhana, Joint Secretary, GAD/DC&MA and State Nodal Officer for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK).
