While addressing the session of Re-Invest 2024, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has the power to make the impossible possible. In 2012, the renewable energy capacity in the state was less than 500 MW, but due to the formation of a separate department in the state and as a result of policies and various incentives, the renewable energy capacity of the state increased by more than 14 times in the last 12 years and today, renewable energy contributes 21 percent to the state’s total energy capacity. Madhya Pradesh is also a leading state in innovation in the renewable energy sector. Large solar energy parks were established under the Rewa Solar Project. From here, solar energy which is cheaper than coal-produced energy has been made available in the country for the first time.
