Prime Minister Shri Modi inaugurated 6 new Vande Bharat trains

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated 6 new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country. He inaugurated these trains by flagging them off at a program organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Chhattisgarh also got the gift of Vande Bharat train from Durg to Visakhapatnam.

On this occasion, a grand program was organized at Raipur Railway Station in which Governor Shri Ramen Deka attended as the chief guest. Governor Shri Deka said in his address that this Vande Bharat Express, which runs at an average speed of 130 kilometers per hour, will cover the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in just 8 hours. At present other trains cover this distance in 11 hours, but Vande Bharat will set a new benchmark in saving our time. He said that this train will not only make our journeys faster, but will also be comfortable and convenient for the passengers.

Governor Shri Deka said that it is a matter of pride that Vande Bharat Express is completely indigenously manufactured. It symbolizes the spirit of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. This makes it clear that we are not only adopting modern technology but also developing and manufacturing it in our country. It is a great example of technological advancement and India’s modern railway system.

The Governor said that another golden chapter is being added to the history of our state. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Vande Bharat train, which will write a new chapter of modernity and speed in the country’s rail services, is being launched. This is not just the inauguration of a train, but a strong example of the progress and self-reliance of our country.

Governor Shri Deka said that these trains will not only provide high speed and modern facilities but will also make an unprecedented contribution to our tourism, trade, medical and education sector. This train will also give a new direction to the local economy. New employment opportunities will be created in the areas related to railways, which will benefit the youth and will also give a new direction to the economic and socio-cultural exchange between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

In the program, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu said that this train will act as a bridge between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. Earlier it took 12 to 14 hours to travel but now one can reach Visakhapatnam in just 8 hours. He said that an amount of more than Rs 20 thousand crore has been sanctioned for the development of railways in Chhattisgarh.  

Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that Vande Bharat Express train is a big gift for the people of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha. He said that railways are developing rapidly in Chhattisgarh.

Before the programme, Shri Deka went inside the Vande Bharat train and talked to the passengers present there and congratulated and wished them.

Durg MP Mr. Vijay Baghel, MLA Mr. Rajesh Munat, Mr. Purandar Mishra, Mr. Motilal Sahu, Mr. Guru Khuswant Saheb, Mr. Doman Lal Korsewada, Mr. Gajendra Yadav, former MP Mr. Sunil Soni, Mayor Mr. Ejaz Dhebar and other public representatives, Railway DRM, ADRM other officials and representatives of various organizations and eminent citizens were present in large numbers in the program. DRM of Railway Division Raipur Mr. Sanjeev Kumar expressed his gratitude in the program.
