Cleanliness Campaign at Juhu Beach on International Coastal Cleanliness Day

Mumbai : On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanliness Day, a ‘Cleanliness Campaign’ will be organized at Juhu Beach on September 21, 2024, at 7:00 AM, in the presence of Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

This drive is being conducted in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Forests, Environment, and Climate Change, and the Government of Maharashtra. People’s representatives, students, youth organizations, the National Cadet Corps, and Maritime Security Forces will also participate in the campaign.

As part of the National Coastal Mission Scheme, a beach cleaning campaign will take place across all 13 coastal states on September 21, 2024, to commemorate International Coastal Cleanliness Day. Various activities are planned under this initiative. For the past four years, coastal cleaning campaigns have been implemented across the country. On this day, local self-government bodies will organize beach cleaning efforts in all coastal districts of the state.
