SIMS Dean Dr. Sahare and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Nayak suspended

Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has taken a major action. He has suspended SIMS Dean Dr. KK Sahare and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sujit Nayak with immediate effect. There are complaints against them of mismanagement and many kinds of irregularities in the operation of the hospital. The Health Minister announced the suspension of both of them in the meeting of the autonomous committee in SIMS today. Along with this, instructions have also been given to investigate the purchases made in the last three years. Many important decisions were taken today in the meeting of the General Assembly of the Autonomous Committee for better operation of SIMS Hospital. MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, Shri Dharamjit Singh, Shri Dilip Lahariya, Shri Sushant Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua along with committee members and officers were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, Health Minister and Chairman of Autonomous Committee Shyam Bihari Jaiswal showed a strict attitude. He said that the state government is committed to providing better health facilities to the common man. Strict action will be taken against those who come in the way. He also generously approved Rs 10 crore for improving SIMS and for equipment. In the meeting, a proposal of Rs 1.5 lakh was approved from the autonomous account to audit the accounts of the college. Rs 42 lakh was given to install a new LT panel of the electrical substation in the SIMS campus. Permission was also given to buy a DG set for the medical college building. A proposal for a new vehicle for the Dean and Medical Superintendent was also approved. Financial and administrative approval was given to run a 52-seater bus for the movement of medical students. Rs 5 lakh was also given to buy Hindi medium books in the medical college. A proposal of Rs 14 lakh was approved to buy beds in the SIMS hostel.

It was said in the meeting that it should be purchased from the GeM portal as per the rules. The proposal for purchase of CCTV, refrigerator, biometric machine, photocopy machine for the college was also approved. Decisions were also taken about purchasing Fowler mattress in the malaria ward of CIMS hospital, consultancy fees, installation of computer set, photocopy machine, CCTV camera, preparing the hospital, recruitment of computer operator, staff nurse and sweeper. On this occasion, Medical Education Commissioner Kiran Kaushal, Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kavre, Health Department Director Rituraj Raghuvanshi, CG MSC Managing Director Padmini Bhoi, NHM Managing Director Dr Jagdish Sonkar along with members and officers of the autonomous committee were present.
