Chandrababu Naidu Meets Amit Shah, Holds Key Meetings in Delhi, Pushes for Major Development Project.
On Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a significant meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. This was part of a series of high-level discussions with top leaders, including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy. One of the main topics of discussion was the potential merger between the Visakha Steel Plant and the Steel Authority of India, a key issue for the state’s industrial development.
Earlier, on Monday, CM Naidu had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he expressed his gratitude for the Cabinet’s approval of revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project. He also discussed ongoing support for the development of Amaravati, the state’s capital. During this interaction, Naidu presented the “Swarna Andhra@2047” vision, which outlines a plan to transform Andhra Pradesh into a USD 2.4 trillion economy by 2047.
In another important meeting, Naidu met with Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to express his appreciation for the progress on establishing a Railway Zone with Vizag as its headquarters. These meetings highlight Naidu’s efforts to secure central support for Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and development projects.
Additionally, on October 2, Naidu launched India’s first skill census pilot project in Mangalagiri. This door-to-door survey, conducted by 675 enumerators, aims to assess the skill levels of over 1.6 lakh families in Mangalagiri and Thullur, under the supervision of the Skill Development Headquarters.
