Online Portal will be created for Resource Pool of Female Workforce

The 79th Board of Directors meeting of the M.P. Women Finance and Development Corporation was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Minister for Women and Child Development, Sushri Nirmala Bhuria. The meeting discussed in detail the progress of current projects and new proposals aimed at strengthening the corporation.

Minister Sushri Bhuria stated that the primary objective of the Women and Child Development Department is women’s empowerment, and the Women Finance Development Corporation can play a crucial role in this. She emphasized the need to create a resource pool for the female workforce in the state through the corporation. An online portal will be developed to assess the skill levels of the female workforce across the state, classifying them into skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled categories. Unskilled and semi-skilled women will be provided training. Minister Sushri Bhuria further stated that the M.P. Women Finance and Development Corporation will supply skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled female workforce from the resource pool to meet the demands of various departments across the state.

Minister Sushri Bhuria emphasized the need for the corporation to adopt a new role in women’s empowerment. She asked to empanel channel partners under the corporation for coordination with different departments. She also asked to send a team to study the working patterns of Women’s Finance Development Corporations in other statesand present a report .

The Managing Director of the Women Finance and Development Corporation, Smt. Nidhi Nivedita, informed that the corporation will identify quality products made by women self-help groups that meet marketing requirements and link them to the market. As a pilot project, one or two products like biscuits, cookies, and snacks made from kodo and kutki (millets), which meet licensing and registration requirements, will be linked to online platforms like Amazon.

The meeting was attended by Women and Child Development Commissioner Smt. Sufiya Faruqui Wali, General Manager of the Women Finance and Development Corporation Shri Arvind Singh and other officials.
