Introductory Webinar Conducted on Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
Jaipur : An orientation webinar on the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, on Friday. This introductory webinar provided online training to block coordinators working at the block level of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in mission-enabled Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0 on the PMMVY Portal.
Dr. Pritam B. Yashwant, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, delivered the introductory speech, after which State Nodal Officers (SNOs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), and Block Coordinators from all states were trained.
Mr. Meghraj Singh Meena, Director in Charge of the Integrated Child Development Department, stated that the training was conducted through an online PowerPoint presentation for capacity building of block coordinators on the PMMVY soft Management Information System (MIS). He explained that the training covered beneficiary registration, verification, approval, and other essential processes.
Mr. Meena emphasized the importance of ensuring maximum registration of eligible beneficiaries to meet the scheme’s targets. He also provided information on the mobile app and instructed Anganwadi workers to update Aadhaar information in their user IDs. Additionally, he noted that beneficiaries whose bank accounts are not linked to NPCI with Aadhaar were informed to take necessary steps so that their bank accounts can receive direct benefit transfers (DBT). All Block Coordinators were directed to fully cooperate in the implementation of the PMMVY scheme to enhance its performance.
