Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Patel, Addresses Public Meeting in Dundara: ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ to Drive Rapid Industrial Growth
Jaipur : Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Legal Affairs, Shri Jogaram Patel, addressed a public gathering in Dundara, Jodhpur, on Sunday during the Deepavali Sneh Milan program. Shri Patel shared that Diwali was celebrated peacefully across the country, fostering unity and harmony. He expressed wishes for happiness, prosperity, and health for the residents of the region.
State Government Committed to Rajasthan’s Development and Leadership
Shri Patel emphasized that the state government, under the sensitive and capable leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, is dedicated to making Rajasthan a developed and leading state. He highlighted that the upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ is expected to attract substantial investment, paving the way for rapid industrial growth and creating new private-sector employment opportunities in the region.
Four Lakh Government Jobs to be Created Over Five Years
Shri Patel also outlined the state government’s employment roadmap for youth, which includes providing one lakh government jobs this year and a total of four lakh over the next five years. He reassured the public of the government’s commitment to youth interests, noting strict actions against paper-leak gangs and necessary measures to ensure a transparent recruitment process. By March 2025, approximately 52,000 positions, including doctors and paramedics, are expected to be filled.
Permanent Solution to Drinking Water Issues
Shri Patel stated that the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) and the Yamuna Water Agreement—both longstanding issues—have been prioritized for implementation. These projects will ensure secure drinking water and irrigation resources for Rajasthan, including the Shekhawati region. Furthermore, the completion of the third phase of the lift canal will offer a permanent solution to drinking water issues in the districts of Jodhpur, Pali, and Barmer.
Commitment to Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare
The minister also reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to supporting agriculture and farmers. He announced an increase in financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, raising the amount from ₹6,000 to ₹8,000. Shri Patel added that the input grant for farmers would be deposited in their accounts shortly. Additionally, regarding insurance claims for moong and bajra crops under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, he mentioned that the district-level committee had resolved the claims in favor of farmers, and the matter now awaits approval at the state level.
Also present at the program were Chairman of the State Wildlife Welfare Board, Shri Jaswant Singh Bishnoi, Former Revenue Minister Shri Amraram Chaudhary, along with other public representatives and dignitaries.
