Over 12 Lakh Voters Aged Above 85 in the Maharashtra State
Mumbai : An election for the Assembly is scheduled in the state on November 20. According to information provided by the Chief Election Officer’s office, there are a total of 12,40,919 voters aged over 85 years participating in this election.
The total number of voters in the state is 9,70,25,119, of which more than 12 lakh are voters aged above 85. Specifically, there are 12,40,919 voters in this age group. Notably, the number of female voters is greater than that of male voters. There are 5,42,891 male voters, 6,98,022 female voters, and 6 transgender voters.
Pune district has the highest number of voters aged above 85, totaling 1,21,760. This includes 59,297 male voters and 62,460 female voters, along with 3 transgender voters. In the Mumbai Suburban district, there are 92,875 voters, comprising 48,292 males and 44,583 females. Nashik district has 60,278 voters aged above 85, which includes 25,429 male and 34,849 female voters. Gadchiroli district has the fewest voters above 85, with a total of 6,613, including 2,557 males and 4,056 females.
The total number of transgender voters aged above 85 in the state is 6, which includes 3 voters from Pune district and one each from Mumbai city, Satara, and Sindhudurg districts, as reported by the Chief Election Officer’s office.
