Jashpur becomes the main attraction of adventure tourism

A recent bike trip organised by Jashpure and Pahadi Bakra Adventure attracted riders from across the country. These adventurous bikers from across the country experienced the thrilling winding roads, difficult trails, and lush green forests of Jashpur. These riders have experience of biking on difficult routes of Himalayan states like Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh and saw the untouched natural beauty of Chhattisgarh state from a new perspective. Jashpur’s unique natural attractions like Rani Dah waterfall, Sarudih tea garden, Kinkel Path, Churi and Makkarbhajja waterfalls and tribal culture and food products became a special center of attraction for them. Apart from this, the thrilling experience of rock climbing and camping in Deshadkha climbing sector and star gazing in Pandrapath was also special for them.

The government led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has initiated extensive efforts since last year to promote tourism and raise the standard of living of the local people. Chief Minister Sai has aimed to develop Jashpur as a new hub of adventure sports, considering its natural wealth and potential for adventure activities. Due to his efficient leadership and visionary policies, the region is now becoming famous as a major adventure tourist destination not only in the state but in the entire country.

Adventure sports and tourism are not just a means of entertainment, but they can also become a major source of employment for the local youth. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, local youth and tribal people have been trained at the international level in the nuances of adventure sports. Rock climbing was organized with the help of local guides in the “Deshdekkha Climbing Sector” of Jashpur, which is now a topic of discussion among adventure sports enthusiasts across the country.

A special star gazing session was also organized during this trip, in which the participants observed the celestial bodies in the open night sky and learned about astrology. This part of Jashpur is now being seen at the national level as a suitable place for star gazing, which has the potential to give a special and unique experience to the tourists.

The bikers also enjoyed the local tribal food and culture here. Tasting the traditional dishes of Mahua and Millet prepared by Jashpure, and visiting tribal homes to learn about their lifestyle and cultural heritage, was a memorable experience for them. International mountaineering guide, extreme adventure sports trainer and district adventure tourism advisor Swapnil Rachelwar said that this area is full of diverse possibilities. The local and tribal people here are naturally and mentally strong in such sports, and with proper guidance, many international level players and professional guides can emerge from here. This systematic initiative of the district administration and the state government also ensured that the development of this area takes place with respect for environmental protection and tribal culture. His dream is that Jashpur emerges as a major center of adventure sports and through this the local community is empowered. Jashpur has now emerged as a new center of adventure sports in Chhattisgarh. It is poised to become an adventure sports hotspot not only in Central India but in the entire nation, where tourists can have a different and unique experience.
