Mumbai Police Makes Breakthrough in Salman Khan Residence Firing Case

In a significant development, the Mumbai Police have apprehended two individuals believed to be involved in the recent shooting incident outside the residence of Bollywood icon Salman Khan. According to official sources, the suspects, hailing from Gujarat, were taken into custody within 48 hours of the incident and are scheduled to be transported to Mumbai today for further legal proceedings.

The arrest comes in the wake of an early morning shooting on April 14, where assailants fired at least four rounds at Salman Khan’s residence in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra West. Following intensive investigation, the suspects were traced to a location in Bhuj, Gujarat, where they had fled after the attack.

Prior to this breakthrough, the Navi Mumbai Police had detained two individuals associated with the motorcycle bearing a Raigad registration number, which was utilized by the shooters during the incident. Authorities are currently investigating whether the motorcycle was sold, reported missing, or stolen, as seen in the CCTV footage.

The investigation has also extended to potential threats in Raigad, where the Khan family owns a sprawling farmhouse in Panvel. With 15 probe teams formed, authorities are leaving no stone unturned in unraveling the complexities surrounding the case.

In a disturbing turn of events, Anmol Bishnoi, sibling of the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the attack through a menacing social media post shortly after the incident. Bishnoi’s post served as a chilling warning to Salman Khan, declaring that the recent shooting was just a prelude to more direct actions in the future.

Salman Khan and his family have been no strangers to threats from certain Punjab-based mafia factions, notably the Bishnoi gang, since the 1998 blackbuck poaching incident in Rajasthan. Over the past years, the actor and his father, Salim Khan, have received various forms of threats, including ominous letters, indicative of the persisting dangers they face.
