Adiguru Shankaracharya is the Sun of wisdom legacy: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji cannot be compared with anyone, he is the sun of India’s wisdom legacy. His presence here itself is an indicator of auspiciousness during the 

current age of violence, the life philosophy of Acharya Shankar inspires us for peace. While paying his respects to the saints, Dr. Yadav said that Shankaracharya’s vision would be fully realized. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi always guides us to preserve the culture. The Chief Minister said that the government participates in all festivals with the society. Addressing the programme organized at Ekatma Dham located at Omkareshwar, he gave instructions to complete the Dham in a phased manner.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Adiguru Shankaracharya spread the wonderful message of unity among the people. He played an important role in protecting the Sanatan Dharma tradition and spreading its principles globally. He came to Omkareshwar from Kerala facing difficulties and struggles, to take Deeksha from his Guru. Through his conduct and work, he made his Guru Dakshina fruitful and showed a new direction to unite the country. Adiguru Shankaracharya was a great bearer of Gyan Parampara. Adiguru established peeths across all four directions of the country and knitted whole country in the thread of unity.

Addressing the programme, Mahamandaleshwar Dattatreya Ashram Pujya Swami Shri Vivekananda Puri ji said that Omkareshwar-Mamaleshwar is an Advait Ekatma Dham. It is the center that gives an identity to Adiguru Shankaracharya and India. He said that Omkareshwar has been the Deekshabhoomi and meditation centre of Adiguru Shankaracharya, hence should be developed as the fifth Peetha.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Jalabhishek on Monday after having darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Mahadev. He prayed to Baba Omkareshwar for the happiness, prosperity, development, and welfare of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga from the footbridge. During this, he observed the panoramic view of Maa Narmada. He also interacted with sellers of flowers and offerings.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered flowers at the statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras while the Batuks performed puja. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited an exhibition based on Ekatma Dham organized on the occasion and also released a book and calendar in the Ekatma Dham complex. The Trustee of Omkareshwar Jyotirling Trust Shri Rao Devendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant CEO Shri Ashok Mahajan and other trustees honoured Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presenting a replica of Baba Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Narayan Patel, Smt. Kanchan Mukesh Tanve, Smt. Chhaya More, District Panchayat President Shri Pinky Sudesh Wankhede, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla, Divisional Commissioner Shri Deepak Singh, IG Shri Anurag, DIG Khargone Range Shri Siddharth Bahuguna and Collector Shri Anoop Kumar Singh besides a large number of sants were present.
