Chief Minister Unveils Nine New Policies: A Solid Foundation for Economic Growth, Prosperity, and Employment Generation in Rajasthan

“Investment-Friendly Policies Usher in a New Era of Development,” Says CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma unveiled nine new policies on Wednesday during a ceremony at the Chief Minister’s Office aimed at accelerating the state’s holistic development. Highlighting their significance, the Chief Minister said these policies mark a transformative step toward making Rajasthan a leading state in India. He emphasized that they will not only attract investment but also create employment opportunities for lakhs of youth. The policies incorporate innovative practices that will ensure economic progress, prosperity, and job creation in the state.

“These policies will serve as a roadmap for Rajasthan’s future while also providing a robust foundation for the upcoming Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. This is a new chapter in the state’s development journey, fostering an investment-friendly environment and helping us achieve our goal of doubling the state’s economy,” Sharma said. Urging industrialists and investors to participate in the state’s growth story, he reiterated the commitment to building a “Developed Rajasthan” through these initiatives.

Key Highlights of the Newly Unveiled Policies:

1. MSME Policy 2024:
The MSME Policy aims to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises, enabling them to compete globally. It includes provisions for additional interest subsidies on loans, support for technological upgrades, and quality certification.

2. Export Promotion Policy 2024:
To bolster exports, this policy will assist exporters with documentation, technological upgrades, and participation in international events, reducing logistic costs and enhancing the global reach of Rajasthan’s products.

3. One District-One Product (ODOP) Policy:
Designed to promote unique products and crafts from each district, the ODOP policy will support artisans, craftsmen, farmers, and manufacturers. It includes financial aid and infrastructure development for these products to boost their market presence and income.

4. Cluster Development Plan:
The policy focuses on cluster-based development to improve the productivity and quality of handicrafts and MSME sectors. This initiative aims to align Rajasthan’s artisans and industries with global market demands.

5. AVGC & XR Policy 2024:
The AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics) & XR (Extended Reality) Policy seeks to establish Rajasthan as a hub for innovation in these technologies. The policy includes the establishment of Atal Innovation Studios and accelerators to nurture local talent and innovation.

6. Tourism Unit Policy 2024:
Recognizing tourism’s contribution to the state’s economy, this policy will attract private investment and encourage the establishment of new tourism units, creating employment opportunities.

7. Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024:
As a leader in renewable energy, Rajasthan is leveraging its potential in solar and wind energy. With over ₹6.5 lakh crore in investment agreements, this policy promotes clean energy projects such as green hydrogen, biomass, and waste-to-energy initiatives.

8. New Mineral Policy 2024:
With 82 types of mineral reserves, the policy aims to boost the mining sector’s contribution to GDP from 3.4% to 5% by 2029-30 and 8% by 2046-47. The policy also promotes the use of M-Sand to reduce environmental impact and lower construction costs.

9. Rajasthan M-Sand Policy 2024:
This policy encourages the use of manufactured sand (M-Sand) as an alternative to river sand in construction, supporting environmental conservation and reducing project costs.

Remarks by Dignitaries:

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari emphasized that the government’s proactive approach, including hosting an investment summit in its first year, will significantly boost Rajasthan’s business ecosystem. “These policies are pivotal for enhancing the ease of doing business,” she said.

Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa hailed Rajasthan as an emerging center for innovation and investment through the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.

Industry Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore underscored the Export Promotion Policy’s role in streamlining processes for exporters. Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar commended the Integrated Clean Energy Policy for aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision of making Rajasthan a leader in the energy sector.

Unveiling Event:

The event also featured an exhibition showcasing the policies and their benefits. Key attendees included School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, and senior bureaucrats, industrialists, and stakeholders from across the state.

The newly unveiled policies aim to propel Rajasthan toward becoming a progressive and developed state, setting a strong precedent for inclusive growth and innovation.
