Speaker Vasudev Devnani Visits SMS Hospital—Assesses Ajmer Road Accident Victims, Arranges Provisions for Families, Offers Prayers for Welfare in Assembly
Jaipur : Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani visited SMS Hospital on Friday morning to inquire about the victims of the Ajmer Road accident. Shri Devnani, accompanied by SMS Medical College Principal Shri Deepak Maheshwari, visited various wards to check on the injured receiving treatment. He instructed the hospital administration to ensure proper medical care for the injured and to arrange food, water, and accommodation for their families. He also prayed for the peace of the departed souls and for strength for the bereaved families to bear their loss.
Prayers for Public Welfare in Assembly
On completing one year as Speaker of the Rajasthan Assembly, Shri Vasudev Devnani organized a ceremonial “Swasti Vachan” (auspicious chanting) in the Assembly on Friday. Fifty-one students from Vedic and Sanskrit schools recited prayers for public welfare. Shri Devnani offered prayers for Rajasthan’s prosperity and well-being. The Swasti Vachan ceremony, conducted under the guidance of Assembly Secretary Shri Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Assistant Secretaries Shri K.K. Sharma and Shri Pramod Kumar Sharma, was attended by teachers and students from the Government Senior Upadhyay Sanskrit School, including Shri Gajananand Sharma, Shri Awadhesh Sharma, and Shri Santosh Kumar Sharma.
Encouraging Youth to Become Employers, Not Job Seekers
Shri Vasudev Devnani received congratulations and well-wishes from students of various universities in Jaipur for completing a successful year as Assembly Speaker. Addressing the youth, he emphasized the need to participate in the Assembly’s Jan Darshan program to better understand democratic systems. Shri Devnani urged the youth to embrace national values and understand Indian culture. Quoting, “I will neither stop nor bow nor tire,” he encouraged the youth to adopt this mindset in life. He advised them to aim to become employers rather than job seekers, stressing the importance of adapting to changing times.
Ayurvedic Health Check-Up
As part of a national campaign on Prakriti Parikshan (Ayurvedic health check-up), Shri Devnani underwent an Ayurvedic health examination conducted by the National Institute of Ayurveda at a camp organized in the Assembly premises. He emphasized the importance of the campaign in creating awareness among the public, noting that such initiatives help individuals anticipate and prevent potential health conditions under specific circumstances.
Media Interaction and Upcoming Digital Initiatives in Assembly
Shri Vasudev Devnani held a press conference on Friday to mark one year as Assembly Speaker. He announced plans to digitize Rajasthan Assembly operations in the coming year, adding that the Assembly chamber would be given a pink hue to reflect its identity. He highlighted the Assembly’s Political Narrative Museum, which features 30 galleries showcasing information about eminent political figures whose contributions Rajasthan will always cherish.
Through advanced technology and multimedia presentations, the museum vividly narrates the state’s history, including the merger of princely states, the state’s development, contributions by chief ministers and Assembly Speakers, and their roles in shaping Rajasthan. The Jan Darshan program aims to connect people with the museum, making it a vital initiative for public engagement.
Innovations in Assembly
Shri Devnani highlighted several innovations introduced in the Assembly, such as the Constitution Club and modern facilities in the legislator housing complex. Additionally, he discussed advancements in parliamentary functioning.
The museum recently launched a Constitution Gallery on Constitution Day, showcasing the artworks featured at the beginning of each of the original Constitution’s 22 parts. The gallery aims to foster public and youth awareness of the nation’s Constitution and instill cultural and moral values.
