Farmers of Maharashtra to Create a Second Green Revolution Through Green Energy, Says Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai : Solar villages utilizing solar energy are being developed across Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis believes that this initiative will provide daytime electricity to farmers and pave the way for a second green revolution in the state through green energy.
During a program held at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects under the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Channel Project 2.0 at Umbertha in Washim district and Narangwadi in Dharashiv district via a television link. Present at the event were Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretaries from various departments, and other key officials.
On this occasion, CM Fadnavis highlighted that the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Vahini Yojana would ensure sustainable and free daytime electricity for farmers. He also shared that 16,000 megawatts of electricity have been provided to the state’s farmers. Efforts to convert all power feeders to solar energy began two years ago and will be completed in phases.
Farmers from Umbertha and Narangwadi villages participated in the event through the television system.
